Luntik has four ears, a rounded tummy, big eyes, and he himself is completely purple. Based on this, you can roughly imagine which direction to move in order to make Luntik’s costume.

So, to create a simple costume, prepare:

  • purple sundress;
  • pink fleece;
  • headband;
  • purple fleece;
  • thin lilac boa;
  • glue gun;
  • threads

Having prepared the necessary things, we begin work:

1. From pink fleece fabric, cut out one large circle with a diameter of 15-20 cm. And five circles with a diameter of 3-4 cm. Using a machine, sew a large circle onto the belly of the sundress. Then sew 5 small circles on top of it. There should be a trace.

2. Cut teardrop-shaped ears from purple and pink fleece, 4 pieces of each color. Sew the pink ear and purple eye together. There should be 4 double-sided ears. Since the ears in Luntik's costume should be slightly curled, roll them up and sew the edges. Then sew the two ears together.

3. Using a glue gun, glue the paired ears to the headband. In order to hide the attachment points and traces of glue, fix a thin boa on top. Luntik's costume is finished!

Luntik's hat

Instead of a headband, you can make a headdress that will make the costume recognizable. You will need all the same materials that were required for Luntik's ears. In addition to them, you need a lilac cotton hat, pink fabric, and threads.

Let's get started:

1. Sew the ears in the same way as described above. The only difference will be in the number of layers of lilac fabric. In this version, we will seal the ears and make them three-layer. Accordingly, there should be 2 layers of lilac fabric, one layer of pink.

2. Sew the stitched ears onto the hat.

3. Cut out a flower from pink fabric and sew it to the hat. The middle of the flower can be decorated with a button.

We sew a Luntik costume with our own hands

Children 2-3 years old love to watch cartoons about Luntik. Luntik is a cartoon character created by the domestic studio "Melnitsa". Luntik was born on the moon and one night fell to earth. This is a very sweet and kind character, he has many friends, and different interesting stories happen to him all the time.

Tools and materials

To make the Luntik costume you will need:

    Faux fur with short pile or plush fabric in lilac and white. Fleece, velvet, and thick knitwear are also suitable for making a suit.

    Purple satin ribbon.

    Children's lilac tights or trousers.

    A piece of artificial leather.

Making a pullover

You can find a pattern for a pullover with a hood in any sewing magazine or on the Internet. According to these recommendations, we sew a pullover with an elongated bottom in order to subsequently add volume. You can also take a ready-made long lilac sweater. At the bottom of the pullover we make a drawstring and insert an elastic band.

We make Luntik's ears in the shape of a diamond. The back should be made of faux fur, and the front should be made of satin. Sew the blanks to the hood. We complement the hood with an applique of lilac velvet. From the inside of the pullover, from the side of the stomach and buttocks, we sew small synthetic pillows.

Mittens

To make a beautiful Luntik costume, we will need mittens made of lilac fur or plush. For this we use standard mitten patterns. We sew white faux fur appliqués onto the fingertips.

Boots

To decorate Luntik's legs we will need ordinary children's boots. We decorate the toes of the shoes with white fur, and use lilac fur to trim the feet and tops. It is best to use unnecessary shoes and glue the appliqués with glue for better bonding.

Panties

The last detail of Luntik's costume is his pants. You can buy lilac tights or pants in the store, or sew them yourself using ready-made patterns.

Making a Luntik costume for an adult is similar, only the patterns should be made according to the size. An animator in such a costume will greatly delight all the children at the holiday.

Overalls

Another option for a costume is to make it based on overalls. For this we choose overalls pattern with breast or sleeves. To create a pattern, you can use factory fabrics by turning them inside out and folding them in half. Don't forget to leave a seam allowance of at least 1.5-2 cm on the side. The sleeveless option is easier to make and will require less material costs. Under the overalls you can wear a white or lilac jacket with sleeves. An applique is also sewn on the front.

For a little girl, you can make a sundress and small pants in the same way. This will make a very cute costume that you can wear for a walk in the summer.

The ears can be sewn not on the hood, but placed on the headband. In this case, the ears will look good, and the child will not be hot and comfortable. It is better to insert wire or thick foam rubber inside the ears so that they keep their shape.

When all the elements are ready, you can go to the masquerade. The child will be happy and very grateful to you. After all, we all expected miracles in childhood. You have the power to become a real wizard for your child!
