looks luxurious in the finished product, and also does not cause allergies, making it suitable

for knitting for babies from the very first days of life. It is these factors that determined

further use of plush yarn. Most often, it is used to knit products for

the smallest ones, namely: toys, blankets, overalls, booties, blouses, etc. From thickness

yarn depends on its consumption for the product you need. Today we are modem

present three categories of yarn: fine (), bulky (,

) and plush for hand knitting (). Each of the three types of yarn has a different

thickness, and, accordingly, different consumption. Below we have described the consumption of each type

knitting yarn for the most popular products ↓.

Most often, blankets from plush yarn are knitted for babies, so the size of the blankets is small.

The most common blanket size is one meter by one meter. On a similar blanket made of thin plush

You will need about 7-10 skeins of yarn. Depending on what pattern you will be

knit a blanket A blanket of this size made from bulky plush yarn will take approximately 4-5 skeins.

The consumption of thick yarn for hand knitting is approximately the same.

Plush yarn toys have also become quite popular over the past few years.

Most often, bulky plush yarn is used. Yarn consumption for toys depends on size

toys. But since most often the size of plush yarn toys is 20 centimeters in

height, we can name the approximate yarn consumption for a plush toy - 2-3 skeins.

Booties are knitted for babies, so the cost of this knitted product is not at all high. On

booties made of thin plush yarn, consumption will be 150-200 grams. On booties from

bulk plush yarn will take approximately 50-100 grams.

Since plush yarn does not cause allergies, warms and is pleasant to the body, it is made from

They make excellent vests for children, for winter and between seasons. Fine plush vests

yarns are more suitable for spring or autumn, the approximate cost for a vest for a baby is from

Oversized sweaters made from bulky plush yarn and

Fine-fitting sweaters. Such sweaters could often be seen in the mass markets of this

in winter and spring. And this is not surprising, because they are very soft, comfortable and warm. On a sweater

oversize Himalatya yarn you will need approximately 5-7 skeins, the amount of yarn depends on

knitting patterns and density. And for a sweater made of fine yarn you will need 4-5 skeins,

Master class on knitting a plush vest for a little girl. I knitted the product itself with knitting needles No. 4, and the applique with crochet No. 4 and No. 3. Threads used: Adelia Sofia and Baby acrylic from Vita. For the base of the vest I took a thread of three colors: white, light blue and dark blue. For applique - white. The plush yarn, which is monochromatic, from this company turned out to be fluffier and of higher quality. There is also another important point: products made from such yarn have a lot of stretch, so this needs to be taken into account. In my case, it turned out to be too much (I was hoping for an acrylic thread that it would prevent the plush from stretching so much). Well, it will grow :).

I knitted in the round with one piece of fabric. I cast on 145 stitches on the knitting needles. I use garter stitch (the row with knit stitches and the row with purl stitches alternate).

We knit in a circle approximately 11.5 cm up. The row begins in the middle of the back. We make decreases and additions only in the row of faces. loops. You need to mark one side loop with markers. We make: 36 back loops, one side loop (marked with a marker), 70 front loops, 1 side loop (with a marker) and 36 back loops.

I make reductions: I knit three loops together (where the side loops are, that is, one front loop, a side loop and a back loop), we knit the row with the purl loops without changes, and again decrease - I knit 3 loops together, after three rows the decreases are made again. My height from bottom to top is currently 17 cm.

Note: It’s better to start decreases with 2 stitches together and do them through 3 rows, and not through a row, as I did. It will be smoother and more beautiful.

I continue to decrease: knitting height 19.5 cm, decrease: side. loop and back loop 2 loops together. On the one hand and on the other too. Height 22.5 cm again we make decreases, two stitches together: side and front stitch. Mark the loops sideways. markers.

Height 24 cm. increase: We do the same where we have side loops. From the front loop (which is near the side stitch) we knit 2 loops in this way: one behind the back wall, the second behind the front. Move the marker to its side. p. We do the same on the other side. Height 28.5 cm: on the side. We add weight to the loops, that is, we knit two loops from them.

Now, without any additions, we knit straight to a height of 34 cm. We proceed to the armholes.

Back. Here is a diagram of how I made the armholes. Just not 3 decreases as in the diagram, but 4. Height 10 cm from the armhole line, increases begin (on two rows from the front) and the formation of the neckline. 7 loops - the distance between the front armhole and the back armhole.

Front end. We do it in exactly the same way as the back armholes, only on the 3rd row in front you need to divide it into two parts (9 stitches between the parts need to be closed, we do this during the work process). Height 8 cm from the armhole line: make a neckline. After 2 rows: there are increases in the armhole.

Making the neck: decreases are made in every 2nd row. Don't forget about the edge loops. First three stitches together, in other rows two stitches together. We do the last 2 rows without decreasing. 17 loops remain. Sew the shoulders as shown below.

Rack: cast on loops along the neck line - 45 stitches in total and knit approximately 5 cm.

Making inserts: we cast on 17 sts on one side, knit about 6 cm, and 17 sts on the other. On the left side you need to make holes for the buttons.

Hood: you need to cast on with a crochet hook, immediately transferring the loops to the knitting needles along the neck line next to the stand - 78 loops and 5 stitches on both sides so that you can then bend and hem (I think it’s better not to cast on 5 loops, but to cast on 3 for hemming - it won’t be so rough). Knits straight. Height 19-20 cm: rounded, like the heel of a sock. Like this: divide the fabric into 3 parts, there should be 28 stitches in the middle. Place markers. Decrements begin on the wrong side, from the stitches from the second marker. loop with medium parts and a side loop, purl two loops together, turn the work over, remove the first stitch, knit to the second marker, media loop. we remove the parts, knit the side loop with the front one and pull the loop that was removed through the one that was knitted. When finished knitting the hood, close the loops and leave the thread. Take a needle and hem the edges. Insert the lace.

Ears for the hood: I knitted according to the pattern below. I made 4 parts, sewed them together in two, turned them inside out and sewed them to the hood with crescents, that is, I bent them a little with the middle back. It turned out interesting. The size of the ears suited me.

It took me almost 6 skeins of white-blue plush (about 300 grams). It took a little more than a 100 gram skein of acrylic.

Application: I crocheted the muzzle with size 4 crochet according to the circle pattern. I knitted it in a pancake pattern, that is, first in the round to the size I needed, and then in the opposite direction, making not increases, but decreases. Although I think it is enough to knit only one row in the opposite direction. And so as not to be so rough, you can omit the acrylic thread. And one more thing: you can knit the muzzle according to the oval pattern, with 2 stitches between increments. P.

Ears to muzzle I knitted according to the pattern below. I did two at a time, then tied the two of them together on top with single crochets and then from the bottom in the same way.

Little muzzle(I don’t know what else to call it :)) I knitted it according to the oval pattern, between the increases I have 4 air loops. The last row was knitted in the opposite direction (a row with decreases).

Spout I crocheted No. 3 from Baby cotton Gazzal cotton yarn.

Eyes from the same acrylic (Baby from Vita) only in black, blue and white colors. Scheme.

The head is sewn on.

I also sewed a ribbon bow onto the cat’s ear.

Paws knitted according to the oval pattern. Upper: 3 in. p. between increases, last row in the opposite direction. Lower: 4 in. p. and also the last row in the opposite direction. Using pink thread, I crocheted No. 3 according to a circle pattern. The applique took almost 2 skeins (about 100 grams) of white plush and a little acrylic.
